In 1998, the luxury leather goods and accessory designer François Rénier launched a completely new and original concept, uniting a paper handbag with leather handles. Customers were quickly captivated by this playful idea. In this way, the Un jour, Un sac brand was born, and its first boutique opened in 2003.

A wide range of combinations are possible, thanks to the variety of available shapes and materials. Handles are offered in crocodile, calfskin, cow leather, shagreen, goatskin and even PVC; the handbags are made of paper, but are also available in a wide range of fabrics or in leather. Several of these handbag models are reversible.

François Rénier is sometimes inspired by fashion when designing certain handbags, such as the glossy handbags which are currently in style.

However, for him it is essential to vary his creations without being too influenced by fashion trends which change from one season to another, in order to offer handbags that his customers can personalize and make their own. François Rénier and his team are never short of ideas, and regularly create new models between collections.
