There is actually a trend in Paris
that museums restaurants come quite highly recommended. ‘Les Ombres’
in the brand new
Quai Branly Museum is one of the most
popular of all. The restaurant was designed by the famous
French architect, Jean Nouvel, as well as the museum
building itself. Under the glass ceiling, appear the shadows
of the steel structure, which this restaurant’s name comes
from (‘ombre’ means ‘shadow’ in French).
You can admire the splendid view of Paris around and the
Eiffel Tower is so close that it seems a bit unreal. I can only imagine what the twinkling tower looks like at night from here.
That’s why we recommend it to
those who look for a romantic dinner spot.
They serve mainly light French dishes. Some sweet spices or
oriental products are delicately used, maybe influenced by
the Museum’s remarkable collections from Oceania, Asia,
Africa and the Americas.
We chose 3-course lunchtime menu (37€), which changes twice a
month.
Steamed salmon ravioli with basil or Beetroot raviolis,
prawns tartar with |

aniseed
flavored as appetizer, stuffed sea bream or grilled
sesame sea bass as main course, Nutella sweetie or
apple tart with rosemary flavored as dessert.
Everything was delicious.
