The French people often refer to this street as 'the
most beautiful avenue in the world'. Whether you agree with
them or not, it is certainly one of the most famous. The broad
avenue is lined with trees and cafés. The opening of top brand shops
such as Louis Vuitton or Cartier has given life to this
street. Military parades of the Bastille Day are held here
and when the French soccer team won the World Cup in 1998,
people gathered here, too. It's a very important
place for the Parisians. The Christmas lights are also a must-see.
